For HR and L&D

The development budget that can show what moved.

SignalCheck measures how a team performs in English under pressure. A programme then works on the gaps the measurement found. A second measurement shows what moved. You get numbers a budget holder can defend, and published rules that employee representatives and legal review can approve.

SignalCheck has assessed professionals at

  • Google
  • Meta
  • Salesforce
  • ByteDance
  • Trend Micro
  • Confluent
  • Roku

Company names show the employers of individual clients. They do not imply a corporate engagement or endorsement.

The problems this addresses

Four things a talent review keeps running into

Strong people leaving quietly

Exit interviews say “opportunity”. The real story is often two years of not being heard in English meetings, being seen as junior, and missing the promotion. A diagnostic brings it out while the person is still in the building.

The promotion pipeline that stalls at one level

People reach the level where the job becomes communication, in English, under pressure. Then it stops. The map shows whether that ceiling is a capability gap or a performance gap, per team, in numbers.

Regional roles the local site cannot fill

Regional leadership needs people who stay strong in the room without a script, across time zones. The diagnostic shows who is ready. A test score cannot.

The training line you have to defend

Generic communication training produces attendance figures. A measure, respond, retest loop produces a before and an after on fixed bands. One of these survives a budget review.

The reporting line

What HR receives, and what HR never receives

HR and the leader receive

  • The team pattern map
  • The leader debrief
  • The movement report after the retest

Only the person receives

  • Their scored report, all five dimensions
  • The written notes on their session
  • The 15 minutes with the reviewer

No individual score goes to a manager. Not on request, not in the debrief, not ever.

That rule is published, participants are told before they join, and it is the reason strong people consent to be measured honestly.

The full policy is written for a procurement reader on the data and confidentiality page.

The free instrument

The SignalScan is free. This is what a team engagement adds.

From August, anyone can take a SignalScan in 5 minutes and see two of their five dimensions scored. It costs nothing.

A team engagement buys what an individual result cannot give you: every person measured on all five dimensions under identical conditions, a map with published rules that makes those results comparable across the group, a leader debrief, a programme targeted at the shared gaps, and a repeat diagnostic that shows what moved.

You are not paying for the test. You are paying for three things a single result cannot give you. Scores you can compare across the team. Rules that protect each person. Proof of what changed.

A free first look

From August, run a SignalScan across five of your team. Free.

Pick five people. Each gives 5 minutes. You receive a pattern across the group on two dimensions, under the same published reporting rules as a full engagement: no individual scores, no names, no ranking.

If the pattern shows nothing worth acting on, that is the finding, and it is yours to keep.

Who takes it

Five to eight people. We keep it below eight on purpose, because dotted maps only start at eight.

What you receive

A one-page band distribution across two dimensions, and a 15-minute leader debrief. Not the full team map, and not five individual reports.

The limits

One free team SignalScan per company, requested by a named work email. The full team map is what a paid engagement buys.

Internal review

Built to pass your internal review

Procurement and legal

A published data and confidentiality policy covering what is recorded, who sees it, retention, and lawful basis. Consent comes from the participant, never on their behalf.

Employee representatives

The map never names or ranks an individual, dotted maps only exist for cohorts of eight or more, and below eight a band distribution replaces them. The rules are published, so representatives review a document rather than a promise.

The pilot question

The first engagement is one defined team with a fixed scope and price. No platform contract, no company-wide commitment, and a stated exit: if the map shows nothing worth acting on, that is the finding, and it is yours to keep.

A first engagement

How it runs

Step 1

Scoping call

20 minutes. We learn the team and what is coming up.

Step 2

Diagnostic

45 minutes per person, in three parts, scheduled around their work, not ours.

Step 3

Map and debrief

You receive the team pattern map and a working session on it.

Step 4

Decision

Act on what the map shows, or do not. The finding is yours either way.

What it costs and how it runs

One team, a fixed scope

A single-team diagnostic starts from $2,500, typically for a team of around eighteen. The measure, respond, retest loop for one team is scoped on the call, and repeat diagnostics are priced so that measuring again is never the reason not to.

Start with one team, and bring the data to your next talent review.

A short conversation first, so we can tell you whether a SignalCheck is the right fit for the team you have in mind. If it is not, we will say so.

From August you can take a SignalScan yourself before the call. 5 minutes, and you will know exactly what your team would meet.
