What the interviewer is, plainly
The SignalCheck interviewer is software built on the same scenarios a live assessor uses. It presents the situations, keeps the timing identical, and records the session. It does not score anyone on its own. Scoring follows the SignalCheck methodology, and a trained reviewer reads every report against the session recording before anything is delivered. The reviewer can change the result. That review is part of the method, not an optional extra.
Why not a person?
A person would adjust for you. Not on purpose. The better the assessor, the more they adjust: they slow down, they wait longer, they nod, they rephrase. Every one of those habits is generous, and every one of them conceals what is being measured.
The instrument does not adjust. It asks, it waits, and it moves on. That is what a senior stakeholder does in a real meeting, and it is why the evidence is better. The judgement stays with a person, where it belongs: a trained reviewer reads every report against the session, and can change the result.
